How to Play World of Warcraft

The normal, or standard, server is your first choice. In Player verses Player (PvP) you have the chance to enter into combat with other players at any time within the game.The RP type of server has a set of strict rules and regulations that you should read before you enter the server. The last type of server is a combination of the last two.

It is often a good idea to try a normal server the first time you play. You can always swap to a different server later.

Make sure you take account of a servers population count as well. Picking a server with a medium amount of player son it is always advisable. Too many players means overcrowding and too little players means a deserted landscape.

You will have to choose your faction. You have two choices:

1. The Horde.
2. The Alliance.

As a general rule of thumb Alliance members are younger and less experienced. Rarely will a player with experience join the Alliance. Experienced players seem to prefer the Horde and in this faction you will find many powerful guilds and groups to join.

Try out different character types as well. When you begin to the play the game and try out different races and classes you will find quite quickly which ones best suit you and your style of game play. You will not know that until you try.
